Take a few days during this summer season break to go to tourist attractions and destinations in your own city. If you think it will be too crowded on the weekend or in the afternoons then go on a weekday morning. Make it a day trip and plan on taking in all of the sights.

Going to your local zoo can be an all-day event. Pack a picnic lunch and if you aren’t able to bring it into the park get a hand stamp and leave for a while to eat. Think about buying a season’s pass too to get the most bang for your buck. Many times a pass will pay for itself in less than three trips.

Look for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) logo whenever you visit a zoo or aquarium as your assurance that you are supporting a facility dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for you, and a better future for all living things. Water parks are always popular and tend to fill up around and after lunch time. Try and go when the park initially opens to beat the crowds. If you leave before lunchtime, you can save money by eating at home and leave the hot midday sun.

Are you looking for a place to catch some waves, ride a lazy river, or travel down a water coaster? If they are connected to theme parks, standalone water parks, or indoor water park resorts, you’ll find them by CLICKING HERE.

There are so many activities in or around your city that you most likely know, but when was the last time you went? Even if you have been there numerous times before, plan a trip with friends you haven’t seen in a while. Go to your regional visitor’s center and get the complimentary brochures that are offered there. You might find some adventures you forgot even existed. The personnel at the visitor’s center usually have coupons free of charge or affordable admission too.
